Jimmy was a founding Board member of The Ark and The Dove, Inc. As onsite Administrator for a couple of years after the 2015 purchase, he established several Retreat Center processes in place today and was active in mission advancement for The Ark and The Dove. Jimmy’s joyful faith was infectious and he served the Lord out of gratitude that he referred to as “His heart ministries.” 

Past Renewal and Catholic Apostolate Leadership Positions: Jimmy has served the Renewal nationwide ministering at Outreach Events, Days of Renewal, Praise and Teaching Rallies, and at state and national Conferences. He served full terms on the Board and Council of the National Service Committee of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the USA (now Pentecost Today USA) as well as Development Manager, and he also chaired the Young Adult Working Group. He was a member of the Pastoral Service Team for the Renewal in West Virginia. Jimmy served on the Pastoral Council and the Pastoral Concerns Committee for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, West Virginia. As an active parish member, Jimmy worked extensively with Teens Encounter Christ, and he was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.

Personal: Jimmy was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Forever changed by the love of the Father when he was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1975, he became actively involved in the Renewal. He achieved notoriety in the early 2000s as vocalist in the Christian band Sonseed, after their song “Jesus Is a Friend of Mine” received millions of views 30 years after its release.

Family: When Jimmy passed, he had been married to his beloved Taffy for eleven years. His first wife and two of his children had died several years earlier. At the time of his death, he had five children and seventeen grandchildren.

Professional: He had a long-career in aerospace manufacturing, including 29 years with Northrop Grumman. Jimmy moved his family in 1991 to West Virginia to serve as Plant Manager with Grumman Aerospace Corporation at a newly constructed assembly plant. Late in his career, he also served as project manager for F.M.W. and Aurora Flight Services.
